Blue & White Gingham: My Favorite Summer Colors
Good Morning! Happy Tuesday!
Today is a happy day indeed, as this is my first "official" blog post (nerves, excitement...all the feels as I branch out into this side of the industry). As many of you know, this is something that I have wanted to do since I was in college, so I have taken the plunge into the blogging world in hopes that it accepts me for all of my food loving, comfy clothe obsessing, old soul style.
For my first post, I wanted to do something that was representative of my style and who I am. I was born and raised in Charleston and I have a very classic, "old school" style. Everything from my wedding dress (where yes, I was called an old soul quite frequently while describing what I wanted) to my hair styles.
I'm not very trendy or modern, my style is very much one that will (hopefully) not go out any time soon. It is one that people my age or my mom's age (we won't say that number to keep me in the clear) can wear. So for my first post, I wanted to share one of my favorite go-to outfits of the moment that represents me and where I come from.
So....drum roll please....
The classic blue, white & gold. My favorite combination of colors that you will see me post about over and over again. I love that the blue in THIS top isn't a bright blue, but it's also not the typical navy that you see in gingham patterns.
I absolutely adore the shape of these earrings. All of my jewelry has been gold ever since I was a baby and so I have carried that over into adulthood (yes, I just turned 25 so I feel as though I am an adult, or am at least considered one). While they are on the larger side compared to most of my other earrings, I love them because they compliment any outfit that you are wearing and can be worn as a statement piece.
Can you believe that THIS handbag is only $26?! I about fell off my rocker when I came across it. Another blogger had actually posted about it, and when I saw it was true, that yes, this handbag was only $26, I couldn't believe it. I purchased it immediately and it took about two weeks to come in, but patience is a virtue (which I had refused to believe until now), and I take this bag everywhere!
My bracelets, as I'm sure you can sense a theme by now, are all gold. I love mixing and matching different ones, but they all come from the same store in downtown Charleston, Croghans, which is owned by a family friend. If you haven't been there yet, going to this family owned "jewel box" should be your soul mission this weekend or as soon as you can.
The watch I'm wearing is one of my most recent additions as it was a birthday present. I LOVE it. It is actually rose gold: I know, you are shocked that I branched out from my regular gold. But seriously though, this is one of my all time favorite watches, and you can get it HERE.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your Tuesday and be sure to spread some kindness because you never know when you could make someone's day :)
It's the southern way,
Kathryn
