Casual Fridays With Smock Shirts
You guys...it's finally here. Today is the start of the weekend!!! I don't know about y'all, but I am SUPER pumped! The weekends for me are not what you would normally think of for a 25 year old. We have a 4 1/2 month old puppy, Charlie (Charlotte), and her internal alarm clock goes off at 6 a.m. on the dot every. single. day. No matter how exhausted she is from the day before or how little she slept, 6 a.m. is her time. I don't know how,, but it seems to be almost to the minute every single day.
Because of this early timing, I like to be in bed at a reasonable hour; typically around 9 but sometimes it won't be until 10 (I know what you're thinking: party an-i-mal). This has made me become such an early riser that I love going to the gym first thing in the morning when I'm still motivated because if not, the day gets away from me with errands and trying to find good deals while we decorate our new home.
The weekends are probably my favorite which therefor makes Friday probably my favorite day of the week. Not because that means I can go wild and let loose on the weekends, but because that means my fiancé is home from work (most of the time) and it also means we get to spend time together.
Typically Friday's are my most casual/comfy days because on the weekends, we are typically exercising and running errands so I'm normally in sweats and a t-shirt with no make-up :) So onto my Casual Friday's attire....
I LOVE a good smock shirt. Anything that has cute embroidery and is loose so that I can have a sufficient food baby: I'm in. THIS shirt is one of my favorites right now because of the embroidered neck line and sleeveless style.
I decided to pair this smock shirt with my standard gold and rose gold jewelry as well as THIS orange bow clutch. I love that it has a strap you can either use or tuck in because it fits to every person's needs. I also love the bow detail on the front, I think it adds a flirty detail to the shirt and really brings out the orangey-red in the shirt.
I wore THESE earrings with this outfit, because I wanted to compliment the white in the shirt, but also have them standout a little from the handbag to be their own statement piece.
All in all, this is probably one of my favorite smock shirts. It was so comfortable and can be put with jean shorts, jeans, or a bright colored pant and it's so versatile that it is great for any age! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to enjoy some sunshine!
