The Markle Effect: New Addition to S.T.

Welcome, welcome! Yes, I am referencing The Hunger Games….

remember, this is a judgement free zone and I quote movies pretty much every time I talk to someone :) I am trying to get back on the bandwagon of writing blog posts, but it’s taking me some time to find something I want to write about. I spend so much time on my computer, my phone, etc. for my jobs that when it comes to finding time to write for my blog, it always get pushed to the back burner. But! I am trying to start back, so bare with me :)

For those of you who don’t know, I follow everything that relates to the Royal Family. My grandmother and I have weekly catch up calls to chat about what’s going on with them, to talk about their style, whether we think a Royal baby is in the near future, etc. So, something that I thought would be fun is to have a post 2-3 times a month featuring a couple of outfits, whether they be from Meghan or Kate, but ones that you can replicate easily and affordably!

So, without further adieu, let’s get this started!

All Things Emerald

Emerald is the color of fall, from handbags to coats, you are going to be seeing a lot more of emerald. I’m super excited about it because it’s my birth stone and also my favorite color :)

Megan Trench Dress.jpg

The Trench Dress

Who would have guessed that the trench trend would be back for it’s second year in a row? Especially, a trench dress. Not me, that’s for sure, but I secretly am excited because Meghan has taken a coat look and turned it into a fashion staple for women. (major applause)

Megan Jeans and Button DOwn.jpg

Jeans & A Button Down

The classic button down with jeans look is one that I think people can wear year round. It is such a classic look that you can pair it with flip flops, booties or flats, match your handbag and be out the door looking FAB. This is personally one of my favorite looks to copy-cat on a weekly basis, so thank you Meghan, for the inspiration to look calm, cool and collected.

Let me know what you think about this new addition to Southern Tailored in the comments below and if there are any specific outfits you want to see!
