Target's New Athleisure Brand: JoyLab

Hello, hello!

Can anyone else believe that it is already pretty much the middle of April? In two short months we will be half way through the year.... WHAT!? Time, please slow down.

As I have mentioned a couple of times, this year is flying by and I have just now found time to get into Target and try on their newest "athleisure" addition: JoyLab. If you haven't heard of this brand that is now available at Target, then it's quite possible that you live under a rock. No, I'm just messing with you, but seriously, if you don't know, now you do, and you need to run, not walk, to your nearest Target, because this brand is going to be competing with many of the other top athletic brands on the market.

I do have to tell you, this is going to be my honest opinion of the brand and I will give you my favorites, but first, I wanted to give you all of the details on the outfit below!

If you're looking for the perfect pair of work pants, then look no further, because these will be your go-to from here on out!

Now, let's get into the purpose of this blog post: JoyLab.

I first heard about this brand a few months ago and every time I go into Target, my size has been sold out of just about everything, until today, when I finally found a couple of things in my size. There were sports bras, tops, tanks and leggings. I didn't try on any of the outerwear/sweatshirts as I will leave that to another post coming up soon.

So let's start out with the sports bras. I tried on a couple and I'll walk you through them one by one....

-Comfort Color Block Sports Bra: if you're looking for medium coverage and to fit like a real bra, then this is the one for you. It wasn't my favorite because I really like a full coverage sports bra. I mix up my works outs and do everything from running to kick boxing to Air Fitness classes where you are upside down, so I really want to make sure that everything is tucked away and that I don't have to worry about anything showing. This also has straps like a normal everyday bra, which I don't like. However, if you are smaller chest, don't need full coverage and are looking for pure comfort/weekend wear while running errands, this should be your go-to.

-Grisalle Swirl Print Scoop Back Sports Bra: This was the second sports bra that I tried on where I had similar feelings as I did the first. I wasn't too keen on the way the straps are because I felt like they would fall off your shoulders in the middle of a work out. But again, if you are looking for something to just wear around, then this is another good option for you.

-Lightweight Premium Scalloped Edge Sports Bra: if you are going for cute, then this is your go-to. I loved the low-cut scalloped edge because it had a fun, flirt look to it. However, my only draw back is that because of the low cut front, it's not ideal for lots of workouts because it didn't feel very secure. But, if you want something to wear around while going for walks on the beach or around town and want to look cute, get this sports bra because it will be your best friend.

-Comfort Floral Print Sports Bra: This was my second favorite of the bunch. I loved the fit & coverage of this sports bra, and even though the straps are bra-like, because they were attached to the middle of the back, everything felt secure and tight enough around my chest to keep me going through a long workout. The only reason this wasn't my favorite was because when I put the next one on, it was love at first sight.

-Twist Strap Sports Bra: Love at first sight and love at first try! This was the holy grail. I have tried many sports bras through out the years (I played volleyball in college so trying to find one that would last every single day for 4 hours each day was difficult), but this one was one of the greatest things I have ever put on. This one is more full coverage and has adjustable straps, so it's perfect for everyone! I give this a 5/5 stars, now I just need Target to make it in more colors :)

I tried on more of their items, however, I am going to give overviews by each category, so I'm linking all of my favorites below so you can get an idea of everything I liked. Stay tuned for the next monthly edit on JoyLab's tops!
