Striped Bow Back Ruffle Top & Review Of DryBar Triple Sec
Happy Wednesday!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July & that you all stayed safe! It was supposed to rain here in Charleston the whole day, but ended up being beautiful, sunny and 90 degrees, so I was extremely happy about that! While I didn't have the typical beach day that we normally do for the 4th, we were able to go down to my parents friends' new house on Wadmalaw Island and having a delicious lunch sitting on their porch watching the fish jump & catching up with old friends.
Last night, we sat on our back deck and watching all of the fireworks going off; you would never imagine the view that you get from the water, you can see all of downtown's fireworks, as well as Mt. Pleasant, North Charleston, James Island, and so on. It was just amazing to see and I am so thankful I was able to watch them with my family.
I was able to find this adorable ruffle trim bow back top and the best part is that it's only $10!! I wore this outfit last night to watch the fireworks because as you know, blue and white stripes are my favorite :)

My Review of DryBar Triple Sec 3-in-1
A few weeks ago, I posted on my instagram story that if anyone had any recommendations of hairspray that holds curls long enough, to please send them my way. I was overwhelmed with how many people messaged me recommending Dry Bar Triple Sec 3-in-1. While it's name doesn't say "hairspray" everyone told me that it has become their new favorite product to use because it does a couple of things: works as hairspray, is a dry shampoo (praise), add volume & texture (definitely need that), and also smells amazing. After reading all of this and having so many people recommend it, I decided to give it a try!
I have fallen in love with a product. This is one of those things that once you use it, you will never use anything else. I have pretty thick hair, so I have some natural volume but this adds that little extra bit of volume to my roots that I needed when my hair gets flat.
Can I tell you how awkward it is to be somewhere and have random people stop you asking what your perfume is only to embarrassingly tell them it's your dry shampoo/texturizer/hairspray? Well, as awkward as I felt, it was nice to know that I didn't smell like chemicals or that awful sticky smell that wafts when you use normal hairspray.
My curls have seriously never held this long. With the heat of summer that leads to sweating the second you step out the door, my curls typically have only been holding for about an hour....until now. I used this as a hairspray and texturizing before I had a shoot last week and they held the entire time (even onto the next day).
All in all, I would give this product a 4.5 out of 5, and the only reason I don't give this product a 5 out of 5 is because it did make my roots feel sticky and "tough" after a day, which is probably pretty normal, but I rarely ever will give anything a 5/5 unless it is the best thing since sliced bread.

Have a wonderful rest of the day and comment below any questions or comments about this product you have!
It's the southern way,
