Scalloped Open Back Tank & Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
Happy Thursday! We are only one day away from the weekend and I can't wait! Today is a little bit of a sad day because my brother who has been here for a week visiting from New Zealand is set to head back there later today :( The next time we see him will be at my wedding which is only 8 weeks away, but I hate saying goodbye, so I guess it's just a "see you later". We had so much fun while he was here and I tried to spend every second I could with him since it had been 7 months since I had last seen him.
Before I get into some details about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I wanted to share this top with y'all! It's only $8!! I had a post last week about the in's & out's of SheIn and since then I have received a huge package from them with tons of clothes and this was a part of that package.
It is the perfect summer top because it's so light weight and I love the scalloped edging of it! The back is a V open back, so it is sure to keep you cool on those hot summer days and it covers just enough :) The top is pretty true to size, but if you want it to fit a little looser, I would suggest sizing up. I am wearing a size small, for reference, in the pictures below.

Now, moving onto one of the best sales of the year: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!!
About the sale: this is an event like no other. If you have a Nordstrom credit card, your sale begins on July 13th (8 days before being open to everyone else). This sale is a preview of their fall clothing at seriously discounted prices.
How to prepare: Don't spend another dime until this sale so that you can get everything you want. No, no, I'm kidding. But seriously, this sale is HUGE. If you are like me, a hoarder, I have been cleaning out my closet for about a month now trying to figure out what I can get rid of, what I need, staples that will last for many years. I used to buy clothes just to buy them because I thought that one day I would need it, and that ended in lots of wasted money for clothes that I never wore. So, I have pretty much stopped buying random clothing (for the most part), and have started buying more investment pieces. This was one of the greatest things I ever did because investment pieces, while they are more expensive, they last a lot longer than cheap stuff. (Now, don't get me wrong, I LOVE SheIn and will continue to buy stuff because those are pieces for the now, not long term).
Have Fun: At first this sale is very overwhelming, trust me, I know. It feels like you have to be jacked up on caffeine to be able to go through the ~70 pages of products that are on sale. So don't stress out! Best advice: find bloggers that have the same style as you and when the sale happens, go to their pages and read their posts about the sale. More than likely, they have already done the hard work for you & all the sifting to find the best options for you, then posted them to your blog.
hint, hint..... check back here when the sale goes public ;)
If you have any questions about best practices or anything about the sale, comment below and I am happy to answer!
I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your day & start getting excited because the biggest sale of the year is about to start!
It's the southern way,
