October ASOS Haul

Happy October? Is anyone else extremely confused by the fact that it is Halloween month? Which means next month is Thanksgiving? Which means the following month is Christmas? Then it’s 2021? I’m very confused, but I’m also very ready for this year to be over. I feel personally victimized by the year 2020 and if we could just unplug it, wait ten seconds, then replug it back in I would greatly appreciate it. I’d also like to point out that this insane year all started when they took Friends off of Netflix, so I think we all know who is to blame here.

With that being said, I’m going to try to get these haul’s/favorites up once a week because we have so much to look forward to in the next few months/year that I figured why not start stocking up on basics and great staple pieces now! I am also in the process of creating more of a capsule wardrobe, so you will start to see a theme in colors in an effort to make my clothes multi-year purchases, not just fast fashion.

So, let’s get this party started…. I only have a few items from this haul that I really loved, so bare in mind that there were a few pieces I didn’t like therefor did not want to share or recommend. If you want me to start sharing the ones I didn’t like as well, let me know :)

Let’s start off with this camel coat. I LOVE this coat. I can’t say enough good things about it. I am always on the hunt for good coats and jackets, and to be honest I probably already have too many, but what’s another one when they act as their own statement piece? The camel coat runs slightly oversized, I am wearing a size 2 with a long sleeve shirt underneath. If I wanted to wear a chunkier shirt, I would have to size up to a 4 but down south it never really gets that cold, so the 2 will work. I also really like the length of it because it’s long enough to cover your backside but short enough to still give you a tailored look and not overwhelm you.

I’m going to call this one the dreamy jacket because the inside is almost completely lined with sherpa and have a pull tie waist to keep the cold air from sneaking up! This was my favorite purchase from the haul because I love the ecru color of the jacket and on top of that, it is slightly cropped, meaning it fits my short torso waist perfectly. :) It has pockets you can access from above (like seen in the picture) or standard pockets from the side giving you multiple places to keep your hands warm on cold winter days!

I really liked this jacket but please note I did not keep it. The main reason was that I was already keeping the one above this, but also because I already have a pink jacket that is also cropped and I love! This one definitely was comfortable, I wish I had sized up one though. I am wearing the small in this picture, but might have liked it more if I sized up to a medium because of how cropped it is.

All lilac everything :) If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I live for a good turtleneck, just call me Diane Keaton over here (name a movie she isn’t wearing a turtleneck in because I don’t know of one, at least recently). What I like so much about this one is that the neck is not super high, so you don’t feel like you are being constricted and claustrophobic (like my mom does with everything haha). I am wearing a size 4 in this top and the oversized fit makes it perfect to layer a shirt underneath for extra cold days but light weight enough to wear down south.

That’s all for now! I’ll have another haul up either later this week or next week so be sure to check back! Let me know if you have any questions or need help with sizing, I’m always here to help. :)

Have a great week!
