September Abercrombie Haul
Is it just me or does anyone else feel like Abercrombie has completely rebranded themselves in the last few years? I’m talking new designer, a new marketing team, and a new outlook in the sense that women have curves? I’m here for it because I could have kept every thing I ordered, but you know, it’s a pandemic so probably best not too.
I’m going to share sizes, how to style, whether I kept the items or not (and why) and so much more. So, let’s get right too it!
Y’all will see me wearing these boots pretty much all fall, with everything from skirts to dresses and jeans. When I buy shoes, which is very rare, they have to be able to go with at least 10 different outfits for me to keep them. They are slightly pricier but oh so worth it!
I am loving this chunky knit sweater. I saw it online and immediately had all the fall vibes. What I love about it is that it’s just like my boots: I can wear it with everything, and I mean everything. Skirts, dresses, jeans, shorts, leggings: you name it, it will go with it. I am wearing an extra small in the sweater because it’s oversized but also I wanted it to sit open and not look too oversized.
This bodysuit is a bodysuit that you can wear year round. Best part? No bra. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s tight, almost like a neoprene kind of material (it’s not actually, but that’s what it feels like) so it sucks you in while keeping the girls perky enough to not need extra support. I’m wearing a medium, which is pretty standard for my sizing in Abercrombie clothes. For reference, I’m 5’9 and typically wear a 2/4, with a very short torso (if you change it, own it, #AmIRight?)
These jeans are from last year at Madewell and I am wearing a size 26. They are high-waisted (all the praise hands), and are the 10” high ones because those fit my body the best, but they also come in 9” high rise.
My rings are from my girl Jenn at Quad Espresso Jewelry, if you haven’t checked out her stuff yet, you absolutely should because it is all gold-filled meaning you can shower, beach, workout, everything and it won’t tarnish. At least I have been wearing them for about a year and do all of those things without any problems. :) Also, Jenn is just a really great person in general, on top of owning a small business, so #ShopSmall while meeting one of the kindest humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of being around.
I’ve never been a fan of the kimono look until now. I don’t know why, maybe it’s because my style is changing to reflect more of who I am today vs. who I was a few years ago when I started this blog, but I am seriously loving them. I wish it was a bit longer so it would go almost all the way to the floor, but I think this one is good for fall down South. I’m wearing a size small in the kimono and it comes in two different pattern options.
I already talked about the boots, bodysuit and jeans above, so refer there for links and sizing. :)
Y’all….. these tops. They are on sale for $15 right now and I am beyond in love. I was only going to keep one color, but they are on sale for that little so I thought, why not? These are great staple pieces for fall and winter because they can be layered. I am wearing a size medium in both and can not recommend these enough!
By far my FAVORITE purchase from the haul is this bodysuit. I will be the first one to say bodysuits are probably the hardest thing to buy for women because every single one of our bodies are different (and beautiful), so finding one that fits well is about near impossible. But, as I always say, when you find something that fits your body well, buy it in every color. Unfortunately this bodysuit only comes in black and white, but you better believe I just went and ordered it in the black also. This is another great staple for fall, probably one of the best staples I’ve ever found. I normally don’t like bodysuits on me because, hey, short torso probs, but I love the way Abercrombie has made the inseam long enough to fit the longer torso girls (shoutout to y’all) but not too long for us short-torso ladies. I am wearing a size medium and incredibly in love with it. *never did I think i’d be in love with an item of clothing, but that’s how great this thing is*
If you follow me on instagram, which I assume you do because well, here we are, but I did a poll the other day about boyfriend jeans/mom jeans and asked for some recommendations! This is the first pair that has come in that I ordered after hearing from y’all and so far, I really like them. They are from Madewell and I am wearing a size 26. I think these are more along the 9” high rise line, but I still really like them. They do stretch, so I could potentially even size down to a 25 but I’m going to stick with my usual 26 because I like the looser fit.
Let’s talk sneakers. I love them. I have probably 10-15 pair (I should definitely count and donate some) but I love them. They are another shoe I wear with anything and everything you could imagine. I normally am a Vans person, but I took the Converse plunge and am loving these so far. I like the high-rise style of them and that I can wear normal socks, aka not having to deal with the no shows constantly falling down. I’m wearing my normal shoe size, an 8.5.
One of my favorite looks from the entire haul (probably because it includes the bodysuit but, again, here we are). I have always loved a good floral skirt for winter and fall, I actually have two. What’s different about this one is it is ruched up by your hip, making it a little dressier. Granted, I am the first person to dress something down by throwing on a casual and cozy sweater, but I love that I can also dress this one up with some tights, heeled booties and a silk bodysuit or shirt for the holidays. I am wearing a size medium in the skirt and could have sized down to a small, but decided to stick with the medium so I can layer warm/thick tights for winter.
That’s all for my September Abercrombie Haul, let me know if you have any questions or need help with sizing! Enjoy!
