Chocolate Chip Cookie & Nutella Tart

Let’s just start this off by mentioning that I wasn’t actually sure of the difference between a “pie” and a “tart”. If given one of each, I would probably be able to tell you which was a pie and which was a tart, but by definition, I did not know the difference, so here’s a little help from Google: “Now, for a little lesson on the differences between them. A pie is a sweet or savory dish with a crust and a filling. ... A tart is a sweet or savory dish with shallow sides and only a bottom crust. Tart crusts are usually made from pastry dough: traditionally flour, unsalted butter, cold water, and sometimes sugar.” Because of that, we’re going to call this sweet treat a Tart. :)

One thing to always remember about my recipes: I keep it simple. Typically, if there recipe is more than 10 ingredients or 10 steps, I will not make it. Some may call it lazy, I call it trying to be efficient with my time and I like to make recipes that I can recall from memory, not have to look up every single time. So, if you like quick, easy and tasty recipes, keep reading.

Chocolate Chip Cookie and Nutella Tart

Let’s just lay this out on the table: I LOVE sweets. I LIVE for sweets. Anything that has chocolate chip cookies, brownies, ice cream, nutella, you name it, I will always want to eat it. I have a huge sweet tooth and I always have. My family grew up eating some kind of dessert after dinner, not every night bu majority. This is probably why i’m fairly certain that I’m addicted to sugar, but hey, #YOLO.

I first started making this recipe about 7 years ago and don’t make it too often, because let’s be honest here, it’s not the healthiest thing you can put in your body. But let me also say, I am all about the work hard, play harder idea so I try to mostly eat an 80 x 20 diet, however, when I eat that 20% of whatever I want (most of the time it’s sweet), I go all out. Which brings me to the Chocolate Chip Cookie and Nutella Tart. So whether you’re having a craving because it’s that time of the month or you are making this for a family get together (I make this for Thanksgiving each year), you can’t go wrong.

You can not go wrong with these Chocolate Chip Cookie & Nutella Tart’s. I have family that doesn’t even like sweets but they always ask me to make these each year. The great things about these is that they are absolutely delicious reheated. For most of us, we aren’t making desserts, especially around the holidays, within 5 minutes of plating them, so these are great to make a day ahead of time and reheat prior to plating.

Let me know if you have any questions below or if you decide to make these, be sure to tag me in your stories so I can see or comment below with just how delicious they were. :)

Enjoy!
